Meet the Interns: Brooke Childers, Marketing

I am a second-year Agricultural Business major at Colorado State University. I am also working on a Spanish minor.

What are you working on at Agrible?

I work with the sales and marketing teams and have also been working on sustainability research.

What got you interested in interning at Agrible?

I first heard about Agrible last fall through the Farm Progress show in Decatur. I went online and looked at the company website, and was really excited about what the company is doing. I knew that it was something I wanted to be a part of.

What do you hope to get out of your internship?

During my time at Agrible I want to learn more about the technology that is used to form our products, and how that fits into the agriculture industry both today and for the future. I am also excited to take the things I have been learning at school and apply them in a real world setting.

If you could have lunch with one person, living or dead, who would it be?

I would have lunch with Normal Borlaug, the father of the Green Revolution. He is credited with saving millions of lives from starvation and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1970. Learning about his work was one of the first things that got me interested in agriculture, and I would love to ask him about his views on feeding the world's growing population. I think it would be especially interesting to hear his perspective on the role of new technologies in agriculture.
