Agrible, Inc. has joined Field to Market: The Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture as an associate member. As a leading multi-stakeholder initiative, Field to Market is working to unite the agricultural supply chain in defining, measuring and advancing the sustainability of food, fiber and fuel production in the United States.
“We’ve been using our technology to tackle some of the major problems facing global agriculture, like sustainability,” said Agrible CEO Chris Harbourt. “As members of Field to Market, we gain new resources to solve these problems in a science-first and environmentally friendly way.”
Working together with grower organizations, academia, conservation groups, public sector partners and leading companies engaged in the Alliance, Agrible will help to catalyze opportunities for continuous improvement in productivity, environmental quality and human well-being across the agricultural value chain.
To lead their sustainability initiatives, Agrible has hired Jeff Peters as their Director of Sustainability and New Ventures. Peters comes to the Agrible team from Syngenta, where he served as Digital Farming Technical Manager. He will work closely with Field to Market as Agrible’s lead representative.
“We look forward to working with Agrible and Jeff in helping farmers achieve continuous improvement,” said Rod Snyder, President of Field to Market. “Their enthusiasm and shared commitment to advancing the sustainability of U.S. agriculture is a welcome addition to Field to Market.”
